Yahtzee is hilarious but he's obviously more of an entertainer; finding everything wrong with a game. Metacritic has it at 73% but I enjoyed it quite a bit more than that. It certainly has some targeting, camera, and knockdown issues but the visuals (artistically and technically) plus the execution of the general Star Wars type of story is enough to justify playing it. Story feels like a darker version of the original trilogy which Episode III kinda did and should have been in the first 2 (lots of cool little elements and references). It's also very short at around 5-6 hours which made it only worth a rental for me. Excluding the comedic Lego Star Wars, it's the best Star Wars game I've played since the first KOTOR.

Here's an actual video review from an awesome gaming news company.

Yahtzee is pretty funny, but yeah he slams games more than anything, he even found stuff to pick on with Bioshock... I mean come on now ;)

I have only played the demo for TFU but Kimball said if I didn't buy it he'd smash me :(

I rented the wii version, and thought it was a blast. Sometimes the camera angles were a little rough, typically on boss fights, but it was real fun. The force powers were really well done. It was more of rental than a buyer at $60 bucks, but super fun.

Picking up someone then hitting them with almost anything in the environment, including other people was funny as hell. I liked charging into a room of like 8 people and just smashing them into each other.

Can't say about the other platforms, but the wii version rocked.

Speaking of Wii - My bro and I are still anxiously looking for a Wii game that simulates actual swordplay (i.e. I swing my Wii controller at his virtual head and he tries to parry or dodge it and counterattack. Does this title deliver any of that, or has anyone come across a good one that does?

I didn't try the duel's when i had rented it, but the wii does a half decent job of lightsabering, but it's not perfect, and the game is more focused on force use than lightsabers, one of the biggest complaints from people i think. It's pretty decent though. You bascially can do left/right to start the attack and then left/right/up/down for the final combo swing. Might be a little diff in the duel mode, but again, didn't try that part. You can also throw in force moves after the first 2 swings to do different stuff.

I don't think you'll see something like that because of the wiimotes limited movement due to it's narrow field of view with the IR sensor. It has to be pointed at the sensor bar for the wii to know where it is, and you can't really have a good sword fight like that.

bw, don't lie. the IR is for the buttons and the motion is detected via blue ray. i tested it because my cat chewed kinda through the wires on my sensor bar but only through one of the two, i could get response from the buttons but no motion sensing.

the response of the wiimote IS though limited which is why they created the motion sensor+ thing you can stick on the bottom of the wiimote.
