I played with Warmang at 60 and he was as bad as that thread makes him out to be.

I don't know what he was like at PvP, but when I knew him it was back in Benevolent during the MC days when people called me Vyn and I didn't know what PvP really was... I kinda doubt you're talking about his old PvE skills.. as he was really only around for raids. ... and in IF.. calling me a silly Catholic >.> (the original Warmang was a Minister/Pastor/Holy man)

My druid was Restoration at 60 and i planned on having him remain Restoration until we realized that Chad was our only tank in a guild of 30 players.

 

My priest was Holy at 60 when i raided with DNWAG and LoE and i planned on having it remain Holy at 70 until Daniel told me to go Shadow for 2v2 with his rogue.

 

My Paladin is Holy atm at level 67 but i doubt i will be playing him because i rerolled horde on another server, in fact, the horde paladin i have on Mannoroth is Prot for levelling but i fully intend for him to be holy at 70.

To be frank with you, i fully believed that a Paladin was a Holy Crusader like the Paladins of D2 but as soon as i hit level 10, i realized that this version of the Paladin class is more in line as those in Warcraft 3 which is pretty much that of a Battle Cleric where you do some melee damage in between casting heals and supporting your allies. In Wrath, Retribution paladins are like that but they have a stronger emphasis on Damage than what i would have thought necessary (But i'm not complaining!) and even Holy Paladins are pretty much required to Melee in between heals to gain haste buffs and Wisdom tics.

I meant PVP. I used to do premades with him while he was in Benevolent and i think Descendants. After shooting my foot a couple of times after running premades with them, i left them for more competitive premade groups like Lucid and Dark Entropy.

 

The Wrath of the Lich King holy paladin is more in line of what i had in mind of the paladin class based upon my playtime on Warcraft 3 than any incarnation of the paladin class.
