ZG Epic Mounts

For those that don't browse the WoW forums, here's a couple pics of the new epic mounts that drop in ZG and their Allakhazam links.

wow! maybe i will get an epic mount.

Hopefully they have a slightly better drop rate than Baron's mount. Supposedly only Alliance can get the raptor and only horde can get the tiger.

 

Do people that don't have an epic mount yet get priority if this drops?

hmm... they're kind of ugly...

yea, the raptor is, but the tiger is cool. im gonna make a new character and name him cooltiger.

I think it would be fair that if you have an epic mount already that you would pass on it, but I know it isn't fair that you payed for yours and some smuck like me get one for free. This will have to be discussed more.

It's hard to justify someone with an epic RTUing on an epic mount drop, however, on my baron raids I've always said that if the mount drops *everyone* can roll, regardless of having a mount, level, rank, BoPs, and finger length.

 

I think the rarity of such an item justifies allowing everyone to roll on it. If those who have bought epic mounts are not allowed to roll on it, chances are they will never see such an item in their inventory. Plus, those who don't have epic mounts can always still save and buy them, there's no reason to punish people who have already bought mounts.

I guess tonight we will let anyone roll who wants to, just know I will take out your knees if you beat me on a raptor

 

if we find the drop rate is rather good, then we might reconsider but let's not think about that right now.

heh I was just kidding about the roll. It's more than understandable if everyone rolls. Like Shoop said, why should some guy get priority on a FREE mount when everyone else had to save up and use a ton of gold to buy theirs. Either way, win or buy, I want an effing epic mount!!!!!

Yea, the raptor is nice, but i would kinda want the tiger should it drop. Then again, ive also been thinking of selling my account since it looks like i wont have any playing time at all for the next year or so. Who knew RL hit so hard?

That raptor is farking hideous, looks a lil "flamboyant" to me. I would think someone should start a toon named "Eltonjon" or "Rocketman" just to ride that thing. I also think they could've picked better color armor on the cat. An orange tiger with green Jade armor. Looks like the Blizz design team has gone all Metro-Sexual on us.

 

I personally like the epic armored cats. Children of the early 80's should deffinately understand me on this, I want an epic armored cat mount, because it looks like Cringer (Battle Cat) from He-Man.

Yes, I would more than likely pass on this if it dropped, so more loots for everyone else. Growing up in the 80's and watching the cartoons, I liked Cringer (Battle Cat), I am a cat person afterall. So, riding the epic cat mount is good enough for me.

Cool, I used too have those figures... until my Mom stepped on them too many times and threw my whole collection away. She feels bad about it now. Man...I forgot how hideous they are=)

Yea the toys do look pretty bad. It was the 80's. The animation wasn't much better. All the animators were probably to busy being dressed up like the guys from Miami Vice, trying to impress all the office chicks with their rolled up sleeves and white cars, to draw a half decent cartoon.

Have you noticed in the past few years, they've brought back alot of the 80's cartoons. I find that very intresting.

I find that very interesting too. I loved the cartoons we had when I grew up. Transformers, GI Joe and The Thundercats were my top three. I like watching them again now.

 

But, seeing them again you notice weird stuff. I bought the Season 1 DVD box of Transformers. I watched and I learned that the Transformers was only supposed to be a three episode marketing scheme. After the second episode, the narrator says, "On the next and final chapter...". But, then their are 13 more episodes. Looks like it hit so well, they decided to jump in and make more, late in the season. I never noticed that when I was a kid. Yay for us!
