Click on the layer you want to move and make sure you have the move tool selected. You can use your keyboard arrows to move them and also nudge by several pixels at a time with sift+arrow keys.

Gotcha. Now I just need to isolate my toon from the background...after this ZA.

It's much easier to make up your toon in WoW Model Viewer then isolating from a screenshot. The Model viewer has a "blue screen" (like a movie set green screen) that makes it easy to pull the character out of.

Yeah, outlining characters from screenshots or people from general photos is painstaking work, if you do it correctly (although one of my designers does it realy fast... and I have no idea how). I greenscreen mine in modelviewer and go from there. Even that can be puzzling at times. For some reason, certain exports always come out pixelated. The added bonus of modelviewer is you can flip and spin your characters for the perfect pose, and then put them into a wow screenshot later if you want.

Photoshop is fun once you figure out how layers work. That's pretty much the whole program.

I need help. Stupid WoW model viewer came up with this:

I guess it doesn't like the Vengeful Gladiator Helm?

Try to see what it does with the Helm of the Illidari Shatterer, same graphic, but it might be the itemID it doesn't like.
