Forum background hex color code?

If you are trying for transparency, just make a transparent background and save it as a PNG, that way it works with any forum :)

Unless you're using IE6 at work like I am, then your "transparent" background shows up as a white border. Like Shad's ^

I want to make a pretty picture and stuff. Where can I steal...I mean acquire a completely legitimate copy of photoshop for a 100% discount?

And I guess once I make my finger painting I have to host it somewhere? I need help! I've killed too many of my nerd brain cells and all that's left are the alcoholic ex-highschool-football-player-who-still-thinks-he-could-have-gone-pro ones. I need instructions.

In case anyone wants to use the traditional route, and not produce PNG files for transparency, or even if you want to test your transparency to see how it will show up on the FP forums, the hex code is: 2e3234

/sigh

It's a little white box with a red X...work computer doesn't like stuff that's hosted on imageshack or photbucket.

I'll take a look when I get home, although I have a feeling I know what it is.

I know I am late to this reply party, but for future reference I recommend Visual Color Picker. Its free, has a really small foot print, and lets you zoom in for pixel perfect color references.

Download Link

I use it and the company's Pixel Measurer everyday at work.

I got it installed and working, but it hates me. Everytime I add a layer to my background it puts it right in the middle right on top of the other layers, and then I can't move them. Too many options.

Edt: Lyssa you're gonna have to talk me through how to do stuff in PS some time.
