Fatherpeteus 0 Report post Posted May 21, 2008 I found a thread pointing to this on the Bliz technical forums, while fruitlessly trolling for solutions to the NVidea graphics issues arising from patch 2.4... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gyVX4ARBMkM Hundreds of people had posted (in a day or so) that it worked for them. The post was taken down overnight - Not sure if it was by Blue or the OP. I've done it, and it seems to have made a dramatic difference in FPS for me. (Requires making one small addition to the Windows Registry - The video walks you through the process - Ezmode!)
stangmeister 0 Report post Posted May 21, 2008 Some comment on the video: -.- This is just a trick to make your computer ping the server to test the rate more often. The ping frequency has no bearing on how fast the actual game data is updated, and if you have lag because of that it will not improve it. In short, this is just a trick that lowers the number you see while still having the exact same amount of lag.

The rate at which the game data is updated will not change what so ever.
