Hvilelos 0 Report post Posted December 13, 2007 Everybody has them... bands you listen to in secret but are too embarrassed to openly admit it! Mine would have to be Nightwish; the songs are terribly catchy and I have a hard-on for good female vocals T_T So who else loves them some less-than-manly music? Post music / videos! Joesf 0 Report post Posted December 13, 2007 (edited) For some reason I don't like to admit I like Monster Magnet. Or Kid Rock... or any type of rock like that. Just makes me feel like I should be drunk off Budweiser, trippin on mushrooms, in a wife beater and trying to start a fight in a dive bar. And I kinda like it. Ravenheart 0 Report post Posted December 13, 2007 Have you heard any Lacuna Coil Scott? The female vocalist isn't bad at all. Caliban also uses a female, but its the crazy screamer most of the time heh A guilty pleasure of mine eh.. Nah.. NO WAY! I refuse to admit it. Hence, guilty pleasure. Beornwarrior 0 Report post Posted December 13, 2007 (edited) Same reasons as Nightwish here. Before HV got me into the metal scene I listened to Evanescence quite a bit. Briefly browsing youtube seems like all their new stuff is more mainstream and pretty lame. Following songs are from their first album I believe. Evanescence - My Immortal Evanescence - Going Under Bring Me To Life is another good song from them. I also listen to Blue Man Group and the Halo soundtrack quite a bit which may or may not be manly. Hvilelos 0 Report post Posted December 13, 2007 Not often, but every now and then I'll listen to Drum Corp shows (yeah I was a band geek in high school >.< ) It might be because I play drums, but I think drum corps is ftw. It's just powerful rhythmic music. To really appreciate it though, you need to be there, few feelings are as awesome as being vibrated to the bone by a drum line xD Still, fun to to listen to : ]
