It didn't do TOO much damage to me last time. It helped that Beorn and I switched off though. Now that he and I are the Dark Iron Knights we might not need to switch off to often.

Good post Felz. Point #3 is especially important to me as the raid leader. My goal is to get us as much practice as possible right now. In order to do that, we're gonna need as many people dedicated to the encounter as possible. Since we need to kill Domo before Rag every day we try , please plan on playing approximately 4 - 5 hours per Rag raid. We're taking Rag in baby steps right now and I want the goal for Weds to be getting him below 50% before he spawns his sons. If we do that, we're in great shape. Keep studying up, and I'll see you all in the Core on Weds.

FYI, I respecced my talents last night. I shifted just enough points from protection to pick up piercing howl. I am confident that on the next attempt all the little baddies will be riding the Gryphie train! I can go from tanking 1 mob to tanking 50 mobs now! Woot!

Hellllllloooooo ladies!

The most important things for rogues to know about PvE raiding is that they need to handle their own healing. If you reach 50% health, don't wait for a priest to heal you, just move away from the mob and bandage yourself. This lets the priests concentrate on healing tanks and lets you stay alive. The second most important thing for rogues is positioning. Make sure you stay out of harm's way as much as possible. If a mob is spamming AoE attacks... don't charge in an evicerate, no matter how much you want to. Hang back and fight from range if you think you are going to die.

Erlin if cooling is an issue with your new card and it happens to be an nVidia card I would try using the "coolbits" utility to underclock it a little. That might cool things off a little (at the cost of performance unfortunately) Also, I knoe they sell a sort of thermal mat for you to place your laptop on. This is supposed to help dissapate heat a little better. Give me a shout if you need help with anything I mentioned.
