hmm.. I'll have to have a talk with rub or vis about that... that's bs... Thera Cherbooze are vindictive I know.. I think firelock is.. if you remember let me know which ones are and aren't

We tried CTF today, and it rocked. Unfortunately I cant make long posts, but essentially druids are great for stealing the flag, and pallys and priests are essential on the return for BoF, cleanse, and dispel spammed on the flag runner. Shield owns too. Hunters own hardcore running around the middle of the field wasting people. Rogues great defense or offense. The only class we didn't have was warlock.. I'm not sure exactly how useful they'd be, but I'm sure there's a surprising new use for them somehow. We got pretty darn good at it as we played and it was a lot of fun.. if I could make a long post I would. But since I can't, we'll just do the talking in game

The rules were posted more than once, I saw them myself. They were exactly the same in the previous raid. The other guilds told their non-60's they weren't allowed to come, no one told me to do this. The problem was that we assumed everyone knew what RTU meant. Assumptions are the mother of all fuck ups. We should have defined RTU and made it clear. P.S. I tried not to be edgy there I really did lol... I even deleted some stuff! If I sounded edgy I'll give up my priveledges of seeing vanin run naked through IF.............. /cry

hmm... just as an fyi... I know a lot of people blame the raid leaders for the loot problem, which is fine leaders are used to taking blame, but the loot rules were spammed many times in both the first and second raid and they did not change. RTU has always meant that you must be able to use it immediately, meaning that if a lvl 58 req drops(I'm not sure they do), a lvl 58 can roll, but if a lvl 60 req drops, only lvl 60's can roll. If that's not enough, it was stated that BoE's need to be equipped immediately, a level 59 with a level 60 req BoE cannot do this. RTS's are always for everyone. It was also stated that raid leaders would decide loot policy. These were the loot rules as I understood them and I believe the rest of the raid leaders did as well. So basically blame us for not clearly stating what RTU means (we felt it was obvious), not for not having rules set in place well before we began.

hmm. thanks for pointing that out, we'll have to standardize our macros so that this doesn't occur again.. that way everyone will know what an innervate cast looks like and when its an instruction and when its a cast I have some specifics, but not as many as I'd like...
-
I'm not sure what makes you say that... of course I will tell people what they need to be told in tells... if I announced all my tells... well... i dunno.. i'd probably quit and turn off all chat forever... which I might do anyway... I swear there is method behind the madness! okay only sometimes.... but shhh, don't think about it yeah the priests should have been calling oom... I was doing it for them though and it wasn't happening anyway .. eg "INNERVATE ERILYN NOW"... 10 seconds later "INNERVATE ERILYN" ... no one did .. and I am about to do a summary for healers as soon as I dont have to respond in this thread again lol..

again, they wouldn't give me names or examples... I'll try to get them, but I don't have them now...

How is that possible? We can't res in combat? Have one paladin designated the medic. This character stays out of combat, meaning no healing, cleansing, attacking, or getting in the way of boss AoE. Whenever someone dies, this medic resurrects this person. If the person is a priest or paladin, they begin resing other dead people as well until everyone is alive, then everyone but the medic re-enters combat. If by chance the medic gets in combat from boss AoE or something of this nature, wait a few seconds and if it does not go away, ask another paladin to cast Divine Intervention on you. This will take you back out of combat, at which point you can begin resing again.

hmm... it was kind of difficult to explain things to every class in the time we had between pulls... I expected that if someone didn't know what to do they would ask first the class leader then the raid leader... class leaders should definately know what to do, or ask a raid leader if not. I thought I'd said it a lot, but I'll say it again. As far a paladins, they are primarily cleansers and healers. Keeping mana up is also helpful, if you see a caster sitting, give them BoW. In Onxyia, keep her judged with Wisdom. The other VERY important job of paladins is to be the medic. A medic is someone who resurrects other players DURING a fight. This is not the druid, it is a paladin or paladins in conjunction with any priests that have res'd with SS (in onyxia) or been res'd by a pally.

My posts are terrible... sorry

I tried, trust me. I know what they are upset about and why. I'll summarize. People were rolling for things they couldn't use and felt this was right. Wildburt was in our guild. Not everyone was playing at the same level. What happened in the beginning was a misunderstanding of epic proportions between two relatively small groups. Everyone else had no idea what was going on and picked a side based on miniscule information or followed the people they knew blindly. Several people also received compliments. I've heard about and know a lot about healing. The consensus was that the healing corps did a great job overall, but several people were not pulling their weight and had to be compensated for. The main two of these people were Wildburt and another priest not in our guild, who I will not name.

we'll get better with time no question, in fact this run was a lot better than the last. the frustrating part is that at least a quarter of the raid doesn't listen to any directions the first time around, then after you've wiped one or two times, they, whether out of boredom or wondering what went wrong, start reading chat and find out "oh that's what I was supposed to do... oops". However I and anyone else who has led raids is accustomed to this type of behavior and we in fact expect and predict most of it. ( I had us at 0% chance of not wiping the first run on the core hounds, 20% the second run. depending on who's there, it'll be between 30 and 50% next time ) but everyone, including myself and the other leaders, are getting experience with this and we'll continue to improve. on a less happy note ( I know, "wait that one was happy?" ) some people were upset and informed me of a lack of effort from some Forgotten Prophets. I got no names and was too busy to notice any poor play besides Wildburt's (too obvious...), just don't let it be you

also, people not meeting in Loch Modan is a problem.. everyone who gets left out or left behind ends up running into horde problems.
-
We've had a few, yes. There's also the people, mainly Aeternum's entire guild except for Razi who was only 10mins late, that decided it would be a good idea to sign on about an hour late... but I think they might have been told the wrong time or something...
-
LOL, are you serious? wtf was he thinking?
-
yeah, but it was an organized pickup of mostly trusted people who we knew would pretend to listen the first time then wipe and listen the second time and I agree more often would be good.. if we can get people online
-
it probably was.. i wasnt paying that much attention

Some Etiquette: 1) Chat: Raid chat is to be kept to a minimum. That's not to say you shouldn't have fun, but don't overdo it. When we're there, I or whoever else will probably order all chat to stop, but this is because we know no one will listen, so its the easiest way to say "tone it down". Try to keep most chat to your party or your class channel. If you have something important to say, or a suggestion to make, whisper a leader, or tell your class leader using your class channel. Leaders should make suggestions and give their intentions on raid instructions in leader chat prior to telling everyone in raid chat so that anyone with differing opinions or better ideas may voice his/her opinion prior to confusing the entire raid. 2) Pace: If you are pulling, you should give 10 seconds of warning. Most pulls regular mob pulls in which at most one or two people die, the next pull should be 10 seconds of rest after the previous mob went down. In other words, as soon as the mob goes down, give the warning. For those of you who use mana, this means start drinking immediately after the mob goes down. There are respawn timers on all mobs, and the group needs to beat them in order to reach the boss in a reasonable amount of time and efficiency. 3) AFK: You should only go afk in MC when there is a break in the play. For example, we just wiped and you aren't needed until everyone is up and ready. However, no matter when you go afk, you must tell the raid group when you leave and when you are back. Emergencies and crashes are, of course, excepted. 4) Listen: Always pay attention to raid chat, as that is where most general instructions will be given. Specific instructions for you or your class will be given in your class chat channel, so pay attention and listen to what your class leader tells you to do. Change the color of class chat if you have to. Its a pain in the butt for someone to have to give you instructions through tells. 5) Distractions: It is recommended that you leave all general chat channels and you keep your tells with people outside the raid and your guild chat to a minimum. Pay attention to raid and class chat over guild chat. 6) Timeliness: If the raid is forming up at a certain time, you should make your absolute best effort to be in Loch Modan ready to go at that time. As soon as the raid has 40 people in this situation, it can leave. This means do not be caught in some other raid or party unless you told them before hand that you will be leaving for MC. When the time comes to leave for MC, leave whatever you are doing as soon as possible and head to Thelsamaar repaired and heavily stocked on reagents.
