I think Bill Richardson is the one Obama wants for Sec of State (since reportedly Richard Lugar turned him down)

Obama has asked Rahm Emanuel to be Chief of Staff. Names being kicked around for Treasury Secretary are: Timothy Geithner, Paul Volcker, Larry Summers, Jon Corzine and more (story here http://www.cbc.ca/money/story/2008/11/05/t...-secretary.html ) John Kerry is said to be pushing his name in for Secretary of State. I expect the Treasury Secretary to be pretty conservative to cement Obama's promise to bring bi-partisanship but what do I know?

I think this story continues. Obama will be building his cabinet, which I heard his campaign manager say late last night would be 3 things: Diverse, Bipartisan and New. No recycling of the same old players that have been around the scene for years. Fresh faces with fresh ideas, like much of the rest of his campaign has been. I'm pretty interested in seeing it come together.

No. At this hour, they have 54 seats, Republicans have 40 and there are 2 independents with 4 seats still in contention.

Anyone that was giving out free stuff was made to give it to everyone, lest they break the law about gifts for voters.
