Lol..this from a druid...

Weird...one thing that's irritating me is that new posts aren't being properly highlighted when I use the FP domain name. Might be a product of our switchover-in-progress.

My only advice for pallies against mages is to definitely use seal of command (you get very few shots in at a mage, so you can expect procs)...hell, you might even consider seal of justice to make them waste a blink or something. Also, be quick on the cleanse. You cn cleanse much faster than mages can apply chills and especially if you cleanse our precious frost nova. Also, know that divine shield will break poly and a well timed stun can interrupt a mage in the middle of a damage combo. Still, paladins are the one class mages can count on being able to kite effectively. You have to understand that as long as you have lightning reflexes on the cleanse, you can keep a mage in melee range. It's just a mathematical property that pursuerers always close distance on a target that isn't running an exactly straight course away from the pursuerer.

I try to gank shamans and rogues every chance I get in particular as my little "payback" for Heilel. Not to mention I just like ruining some peoples' day.

It's mildly interesting, but that may be due to the fact that I lived in Hawaii for a while and everywhere I looked I could see my house in postcards and posters and whatnot. Sort of lost the magic for me.

It's sort of weird how everyone dances around the subject of our temporary split as if it were one of those "let's not say the word Black because it would offend the darkie" issues. If I had to go back and do things differently, I would have made the necessary rank modifications from shoop's account then logged back into mine and made the necessary promotions/demotions. That would have at least disentangled shoop from the whole mess and then we wouldn't have had at least half the drama of "omg he logged on Shoop's account and started promoting/demoting people." In any case, any history reported by a person will never be objective. All you can hope for is a point of view most people are happy with, and apparently despite all our best efforts, some people still seem to think that I have it out for some people and if mention of my actions ever were to come up again I'd become some sort of guild Mr. Hyde. Oh well, can't change people's opinions, but at least a srt of synopsis would be nice for those new people who go "huh?" at some of our references.

It was mostly a rant about how other classes constantly complain about frost nova and poly. Teahn made mention about warriors being able to break poly/roots. Basically, I've been trying to figure out just which class(s) a mage is supposed to be a paper to rock for because I can think of 4 classes (shaman, druid, priest, warlock) that a fight with a mage is a given lose for the mage assuming equal skill. Until recently that's been paladins and warriors, and to some degree rogues. However, warriors have become increasingly harder to beat for a mage since they have a lot of ways of closing distance and have a bunch of tiny stuns to use against us. It makes choosing when to blink really difficult. Not to mention a free action potion can ruin a mage's strategy against rogues. That was my post in a nutshell.

It's so weird...being somewhat unemployed now gives me less free time to do stuff...probably because I now spend a lot of time on creative finances... Dear god someone hire me.... Are you planning on moving the forums over to the new site?

Even playing as a rogue against a mage and getting to be on the receiving side of frost nova, I still don't think I should be able to break roots and polymorph. The whole thing about mages and hunters for that matter is kiting. But unlike in other games where you can shoot and move at the same time, if a mage wants to retain any of their mana bar, they need to spend a minimum of 1.5 seconds standing in one spot casting something. Frost nova is how they make up for that somewhat but allowing them to regain some lost distance. It's basically 1 mistake on the mage's side and you'll never lose that guy who's beating you to death with his giant stick. Hell, I have a better example...pretend that gun you warrior use to pull was your only weapon, take away the minimum range requirements, and make it do 5x the damage but lose "casting time" if you get hit by anything. God that would suck... Polymorph is sometimes the only way a mage can win. In the PvP sense of things, mages take a long time to build up to their damage. We have combos but there are significant casting time investments in them, as well as cooldowns to consider. Basically, pretend that your execute ability took 3 seconds to go off from the time you pushed the button, and that you lose half the time you've gained in casting if someone so much as breaths in your direction. Wouldn't you want something to just make the beating stop and let you use your skill which you might use maybe once a fight? That's what poly is for with mages. It allows us to set up the fight instead of praying we can get that 3 second cast off before you finish running at us. Of course, druids simply decimate mages if only for the sole reason that mages can't set up the fight. We basically have to jump in there and hope that the person behind the controls is drunk/getting head/otherwise distracted so that they miss a heal or something. Otherwise druids win the mana battle since our only spells that can out damage a druid's hots are terribly mana inefficient. Of course, I've also played a pally, and the whole ranged thing is a very sticky issue. It'd be different if pallies had some sort of snare that could keep a player within melee range if you had the sense to chase him within 2 seconds of him bolting off. As it stands, the second someone wants to get away from a pally, all they have to do is pick a random direction and run. Game lag takes care of any reaction time benefits a player may have, and the pally can do nothing. There's always repentence...one of the saddest 31 point skills, or perhaps holy bolt which is the laughing stock of all classes. "Oh no, you can hit me once every 30 seconds for a paltry few hundred damage at less than 1/1 damage/mana ratio..." At that rate it'll take a pally...well, it'll take the pally about as much time to kill anything else. Shamans don't need help. At all. Ever. The day Blizzard nerfs shamans is the day I walk up to thunder bluff and personally own every tauren shaman on the server, which just happens to be 90% of the horde population. I'll be laughing the entire time since shamans will no longer be able to silence me *more often than a rogue*, be able to out dps me in instant cast nukes when I'm the friggin mage, be able to melee me as hard as a rogue, etc etc. Hell, just getting rid of windfury and grounding totem would go a long way, but the real coup de grace would be making totems susceptible to AoE. That's the day I run in there and have my field day.

Knowing blizzard they'll probably give them to shamans and call it a day. Since it's the most trivial suggestion that has nothing to do witha bug, it'll get worked on first.

So I used to work at a bakery, and let me tell you, fat people are almost never jolly. I met more pissed off and ill tempered fat people in a bakery than I ever want to meet again for the rest of my life. Now having lived on both sides of the fat/thin fence, and now find myself balanced right on top of normalcy, I feel obligated to speak a few words for fat people everywhere. Fat = depressed. The solution is simple, right? Eat less, lose weight, become happy again. See, it's like people coming up to someone who's depressed and saying "just get over it." Doesn't work like that, and it's a more internal struggle. It's just something you have to work our for yourself, perhaps like quitting cigarettes. Encouragement helps a little, but it's mainly whether you yourself can do it. I lost weight, but it took a considerable amount of self-motivation to do so. Some people just don't have that motivation. And that's all I have to say about that. The girl was hot.

The SW event can be soloed, although people might hate you for doing so if they need it too since it's on an hour timer or something like that. Basically, you walk with this guy to the keep after meeting him at the gates, just stay back and let fordragon kill everything, then talk to the guys. That's it.

Great, you ask me for a pic now that I've finally gotten the stitches removed from my face...lol. In truth it felt far worse than it probably looked. In any case, my roomate recently bought a $2000+ camera for around $1500 (oh the drama...) because she deccided to switch from astrophysics to film. Ha... The point of that little tidbit is that my mother is visiting me in a few hours (my sister is moving into her dorm for her first college experience...at my college...which is incredibly weird) so I might even get in a family shot. My sister has been touring Europe for the past month so I have no idea what she'll look like now...it'll be interesting. In retrospect that had nothing to do with my roomate's camera...but my mother does own a digital camera of craptastic quality (I swear that thing eats a set of AAs per shot). Oh, and it's very disturbing to see all those "sexy singles in your neighborhood" links to the left of all your pics who use imagedump...it's just wrong.

I was thinking of wiring something around 200V in the seat of my pants. It should discourage further attempts...

I used to have a decent lego collection, though probably not on that order. So yeah, when I say stuffed animals, my parents were the insane types with excessive disposable income that would take things to the extreme. The amount of stuffed animals they purchased for me when I was little could literally fill a room. Imagine the shock to a little kid to wake up and FIND AN ENTIRE ROOM FORMERLY FILLED WITH STUFFED ANIMALS COMPLETELY EMPTY. Of course, once again the disposable income factor came in and they converted a guest room into a "toy room"....aka filled it with all manner of crap they thought my sister and I would like. And you wonder why I'm imbalaced...

Sadly this is exactly the program I'm considering after graduation... lol

Mages got crap...lol... At least I'll maybe have incentive to get ghostly strike on my rogue...heh.

I used to like stuffed animals when I was little. Then when I was 5 I started developing bad allergies to dust and my parents got rid of all my stuffed animals in the middle of the night while I was sleeping. I've learned never to love again... Heh.

80g if you manage to make sergeant...heh. And by extension, that means 800g for an epic...ahem.
