help lemon get 5 extra points on her first chem test!

my chemistry teacher will give us 5 extra points on the test if we can find out the name of this law:

 

that the specific heat capacity of every metal is ~0.8g/degrees C

 

i thought he was messing with us but someone actually managed to find it today. i've looked online and i can't quite seem to find it. anyone that's awesome at searching for crap on the internet want to try to give me a hand? he also said today that it might be less of a "law" and more of a "rule of thumb." any help appreciated.
